On February 6th, a signing ceremony was held in Chongqing between the Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone and iFLYTEK, marking the launch of the "AI+Automotive Ecology Industry Acceleration Center" project. 

The project aims to incubate and cultivate over 100 artificial intelligence + automotive ecological enterprises within the next five years, driving the transformation and upgrading of Chongqing's automotive industry.

iFLYTEK has been a leader in automotive intelligence for the past 20 years, with a mission to make driving safer, smarter, and more enjoyable through the deep application of artificial intelligence. iFLYTEK's products, which include multi-microphone array noise reduction and biometric identification, have already been adopted by over 90% of China's independent and joint-venture car manufacturers.

Since its southwest headquarters was established in Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2018, iFLYTEK has been accelerating the layout of the local automotive intelligence track.

It set up a localization team, established the iFLYTEKi Southwest Automotive Research Institute, and reached in-depth cooperation with local vehicle manufacturers such as Changan Automobile, DFSK Motor, and Jin Kang Powertrain New Energy, and the annual installed capacity has exceeded 700,000 sets.

After settling in Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone, the "AI+Automotive Eco-Industry Acceleration Center" of iFLYTEK will introduce iFLYTEK intelligent automobile eco-partners with its advantages in technology, resources, and industrial ecology, with artificial intelligence as the core. 

It is expected that more than 100 ecological enterprises will be introduced within five years, and 20 AI+automotive-related projects will be incubated in the region.

iFLYTEK's presence in Chongqing is also a result of the collaboration between industry, academia, and research. 

In 2018, iFLYTEK and the Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) jointly established an Artificial Intelligence Institute focusing on building AI disciplines, training top talent, researching core technologies, and promoting the development of the AI industry.

Chongqing recognizes the strategic significance of developing an intelligent network-connected new energy vehicle industry and has made it a focus of their industrial development plans. 

This January, a signing ceremony was held for advanced automotive electronics projects, resulting in 12 new projects with a total investment of 12.5 billion RMB.

The "AI+Automotive Ecology Industry Acceleration Center" project between iFLYTEK and Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone is a significant step towards advancing the transformation and upgrading of Chongqing's automotive industry. 

With a strong commitment from both parties and the support of local universities, Chongqing is poised to become a leader in AI+automotive technology.
