Chongqing Plans to Take Efforts to Attract More Talents

Chongqing - On February 24, the talent introduction activities of 2023, “Talents for a Prosperous Chongqing,” were officially launched in Chongqing, China. 

More than 300 activities will be carried out this year, attracting more than 18,000 talents to work and live in Chongqing.

“These activities will continue to focus on the needs of strategic emerging industries in Chongqing, such as the digital economy and low-carbon industries, to ensure the development of key industries,” said an official with the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. 

Chongqing will organize a series of events in many provincial regions in China. The first offline event was held at Hunan University and Central South University in Changsha, Hunan Province, on February 26. More than 30 employers, including Southwest University of Political Science & Law, Chongqing Medical University, Jinfeng Laboratory, and CISDI Group Co., Ltd., will participate and post more than 300 job offers and 2,395 employment needs, covering the industrial internet, the educational research and the digital economy.

According to the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Chongqing has further expanded the scope of its talent recruitment list and expects to release more than 500 positions in batches this year, covering key industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, and medicine, with positions including software architects, circuit design engineers, and research institute directors.

Dr. Wang Manjing, who came to work in Chongqing last year through Ph.D. recruitment events, said, “I felt the enthusiasm of Chongqing’s employers, which strengthened my confidence to conduct research in Chongqing.”

“We are always committed to doing a good job in all aspects of service,” said the person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, introducing that Chongqing has set up a high-level service team with a total of 4,003 commissioners to provide one-on-one services and ensure the full implementation of related policies.

At the same time, Chongqing also issues Talent Service Cards to eligible talents, and a total of 12,742 cards have been issued so far. The card provides 69 customized services to facilitate their life in Chongqing, including title assessment, healthcare, housing security, children’s education, and travel services.
