Chongqing - The SF Supply Chain China (SFDSC), a leading supply chain service provider in China, started constructing its Southwest operation center in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area lately, with a total investment of about 280 million yuan (about 40 million U.S. dollars).

The investment in the phase one project is about 150 million yuan (about 21 million U.S. dollars), covering an area of about 20,000 square meters, which is expected to be implemented in October.

“Chongqing located in the center of Chinese economic geography, is a key hub for all directions,” said a representative of SFDSC. 

By virtue of Chongqing’s geographical advantage, strong industrial base, and opening channels, SFDSC marks Chongqing as the priority for strategic layout.  

According to the plan, SFDSC will set up logistics bases for automobile and biomedical science, a cross-border e-commerce center, and a high-tech industry distribution center. Based on the layout, SFDSC will establish a regional settlement center in Chongqing.

In automobile logistics, the project will provide logistics support for the whole automobile industrial chain, thanks to the strong automobile industrial cluster and abundant resources in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.

Considering the particularity of the biomedical science industry, the project will offer high-standard warehouses for medicines and medical devices. The warehouse is diversified storage for normal temperature, refrigeration, and freezing. 

For cross-border e-commerce, a one-stop service will be provided, covering order management, storage management, transportation service, and after-sales management. The high-tech industry distribution center will bring more customers to Chongqing regional settlement center by virtue of the international customer platform.

As introduced, SFDSC will bring in its advanced storage experience and environmentally friendly and sustainable development philosophy. The storage is designed as dual ramp ways, convenient for quick entry and exit of vehicles and improving distribution efficiency.

As a pioneer of opening up, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, taking advantage of the national new area, the core area of China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI), is increasingly driving the in-depth integration of international trade logistics with pillar industries.
