Chongqing - On March 3, the "Cultural Industry Empowers Rural Revitalization - Cross-Strait Youth Creative Design Exhibition" was launched in Southwest China's Chongqing. From a "Wow Chili Pepper" that comes in a jelly-like form for spicy food lovers, a noodle bowl with a "cap" designed for easy opening, to a brush pen that can change its tip, these creatively designed works have drawn a lot of attention from visitors.

The exhibition is divided into eight theme areas, featuring works selected from 300 universities and 10,000 young designers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

The exhibition is divided into two parts. The online exhibition was launched on November 30 last year, with a dedicated website in Chinese, English, French, and other languages, allowing global audiences to learn about contemporary rural revitalization stories in China. As of February 6 this year, the website has been visited over 1.75 million times worldwide.

The offline exhibition is an extension of the online exhibition, aiming to let visitors appreciate the clever designs and exquisite craftsmanship of these works up close and experience the charm of creative design and industrial manufacturing. The exhibition will run until March 31.

"The Cross-Strait Youth Creative Design Exhibition aims to build a platform for communication, collaboration, and showcasing the achievements of young designers from both sides of the strait. We hope to explore a new path to empower rural revitalization through cultural industry and a new path for young people from both sides of the strait to work together to promote Chinese culture at home and abroad," said Kong Lun, second-level inspector of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Kong Lun also expressed his hope that through this exhibition, more young Taiwanese friends will actively seize the opportunities and grow in the tide of rural revitalization in the Chinese mainland.

Liu Xiaonian, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, said that the commission would use this exhibition to build a platform for communication and cooperation in the creative design industry. It is expected to guide practitioners to get involved in rural areas and cultivate new momentum for rural development.

After the opening ceremony, a "Cultural Industry Empowers Rural Revitalization - Cross-Strait Youth Exchange Meeting" was held, featuring discussions on themes such as "How Cultural Industries Empower Rural Revitalization" and "The Overseas Influence of Cross-Strait Youth Creative Design Exchange."

Experts and designers from the cultural and creative industries engaged in discussions, providing clearer methodologies and experiences for those involved in rural revitalization.
