Chongqing - The 7th Cherry Blossom Season kicked off in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on March 3. Thousands of acres of wild cherry blossoms in Yubei District were in full bloom, attracting tourists from all over the world. The “Laowai@Chongqing” activity brought overseas visitors and urban photographers together to share the cherry blossoms' beauty, experience Chongqing’s culture, and enjoy the city’s charming atmosphere.
The winding mountain paths led visitors to breathtaking views of cherry blossom trees in full bloom, each displaying beautiful pink and white flowers. The whole valley became a stunning and picturesque landscape.
At the opening ceremony, more than ten foreigners from countries such as Russia and the Philippines performed alongside the Yubei Lincong Art Troupe, offering the audience a fantastic cultural exchange performance.
The performances included the Russian dance “Kalinka” and the Filipino band “Upper City Funk,” among others, and popular songs such as “I Will Always Love You” and “You Are Not Alone” were also sung.
The Yubei Lincong Art Troupe presented traditional songs and dances, showcasing Chongqing’s unique cultural heritage. The harmonious resonance of Chinese and foreign cultures created a joyful atmosphere at the event.
The Yungui Mountain Scenic Area’s core area comprises Tianxian Dong Village and the adjacent Juhuaba Village, displaying a “two mountains and one valley” landscape. The lush primitive vegetation covers the mountains and valleys, and thousands of acres of wild cherry blossoms bloom in the spring.
