The Wushan Goddess Cup Art Film Week has come a long way since its inception in November 2012. Over the past ten years, the festival has been held four times and has significantly impacted Wushan's cultural and tourism scene.

"The ten years of light and shadow have not only enriched the spiritual and cultural life of the people of Wushan but have also promoted the integration of culture and tourism in Wushan, becoming an important carrier for promoting and publicizing Wushan," said Fu Jiakang, the mayor of Wushan County.

"At the same time, it has provided a platform for researching and discussing the development of art films and has injected new vitality into the film industry in western China," Fu added.

This year's theme, "Ten Years of Light and Shadow," is expected to attract a huge number of film enthusiasts. The festival will showcase an exhibition of outstanding films and photos from the past ten years, along with a variety of themed activities.

The organizing committee received 89 film submissions for consideration, and 32 were selected for screening. The closing ceremony will feature the promotion and recommendation of excellent literary and art films, as well as recognition for producers, directors, male and female leads, screenwriters, photographers, art directors, music, and other individual projects.

During the film week, the recommended films will be screened at the Poly Wanhe Cinema in Wushan County and commercial districts, such as Guanyinqiao, Nanping, Jiefangbei, and Yangjiaping, in the central area of Chongqing. Chongqing residents can enjoy free screenings, and post-show meet and greets will be arranged for some of the screenings.
