Italian Contemporary Art Exhibition 'Connecting Point' Opens in Chongqing

By YAN DENG|Apr 08,2023

Chongqing - The Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing hosted the contemporary art exhibition "Connecting Point", which is open free from April 7 to May 7.

The exhibition will showcase the works of three Italian artists residing in China: Alice Melloni, Barbara Vaccaro, and Orlando Daga. The collective artworks presented in this exhibition result from a connection between their artistic and personal research and the Chinese context in which they are immersed, characterized by a millenary history and culture.

The exhibition's display has been curated by the artists, who have personally chosen the works they consider most representative of their artistic research and symbolic of their encounter with China.

The exhibition's title, "Connecting Point," highlights the role of art as a connecting thread capable of linking different viewpoints, experiences, stories, and paths. As a universal language, art allows us to communicate even where language fails.

The Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing organized the event with the Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art.
