"Chongqing will continue to expand the outbound corridors such as China Railway Express, and better serve the development of local pillar industries such as automobile," said an officer of the Port and Logistics Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government. 

In the first quarter of this year, China Railway Express (Yuxinou) to Europe exported more than 14,000 vehicles, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 148%.

Since the operation of China Railway Express (Yuxinou) in 2011, nearly 50,000 vehicles have been imported and exported, and the output value of transporting vehicles and spare parts has exceeded 50 billion yuan (about USD 7.3 billion).

Transportation customization for the vehicle's arrival in Europe

"The sound logistics and transportation system of China Railway Express (Yuxinou) enables Chongqing-based auto firms to go abroad and expand the European market efficiently," said an executive of Seres Group.

Dongfeng Sokon (Seres) is one of the key vehicle export projects of China Railway Express (Yuxinou). As early as April 2020, the two sides jointly launched a special train for vehicle exports, transporting 100 Dongfeng Sokon Glory ix5 vehicles to Germany, marking the first batch of passenger vehicles "made in Chongqing" were exported.

Last December, four new energy vehicles (NEVs) of Seres urgently needed to be shipped to Germany for an exhibition. Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd. customized the transportation plan and ensured the timely arrival of the vehicles. The convenient service provided strong support in the logistics supply chain to the globalization strategy of SERES.

"NEVs are the core business the company is developing, and also the key project of future cooperation with Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd.," the executive of Seres Group added.

In the past three years, Seres has successively exported vehicles to Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other European countries via China Railway Express (Yuxinou).

Helping Chongqing's auto firms open the Eurasian market

As one of the important auto manufacturing bases in China, the rapid development of the automobile industry in Chongqing cannot be achieved without logistics support, such as China Railway Express (Yuxinou).

The Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd. has continuously boosted the exports of Chongqing-made vehicles such as China Changan Automobile Group, Great Wall Motor, Dongfeng Sokon (Seres), and Qingling Motors to the Eurasian market.

Since 2022, China Railway Express (Yuxinou) has taken the lead in realizing the regular operations of international trains, especially for railway transportation of commodity vehicles, leading to the transportation capacity increase of about 50%.

Currently, China Railway Express (Yuxinou) steadily operates almost 50 mature routes, reaches more than 100 cities and regions in Europe and Asia, and transports nearly 10,000 categories of goods. It is becoming the core support for Chongqing to build a hub of opening-up in inland China.
