Chongqing - The Second Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Global Investment Promotion Conference will officially start in Shenzhen on April 26, where Sichuan and Chongqing will jointly release investment promotion measures, discuss opportunities and cooperation around new energy vehicles, technological innovation, and other industries at the conference.

The advantageous industries in Sichuan and Chongqing, such as intelligent connected new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, technological innovation, new generation information technology, biological medicine, and new materials, will be unveiled at the Promotion Conference.

Sichuan and Chongqing will jointly release a list of Two Cities Double Hundred industrial opportunities at the Promotion Conference, where 100 scale-efficient enterprises and 100 high-growth enterprises in Chongqing and Chengdu will be released.

Another ten measures for the joint investment promotion of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle will also be released, providing a trillion-level investment dividend.

In 2022, the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle achieved a GDP of 7,758.799 billion yuan (approximately USD 1,125 billion), accounting for 6.4% of the national total and 30.2% of the western region's.

Chengdu and Chongqing aspire to facilitate the implementation of competitive and leading projects, expanding the influence of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

To create an ideal business environment, Sichuan and Chongqing will establish a foundation for project construction and industrial development by exploring a joint construction and public resource allocation mechanism, an industrial cooperation mechanism for the division of labor and coordination, and a government service mechanism for remote management.

In the future, Sichuan and Chongqing will hold the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Global Investment Promotion Conference annually to jointly showcase the investment opportunities and development prospects of the two regions, broaden new areas for international and domestic industrial cooperation, accelerate the creation of unique advantages in innovation and development, and establish a unified Sichuan-Chongqing brand.
