Chongqing - On May 10th, the 2023 Jiangxi Ji'an (Chongqing) Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Chongqing to explore cooperation potential with the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and enhance its tourism brand image of "Cradle of the Chinese revolution, Ji'an Beautiful Landscapes."

Over 120 representatives from various industries, travel agencies, and media outlets in Chongqing attended the event. Ji'an and Chongqing's cultural and tourism associations signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at the event.

Liang Pingfang, Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of Ji'an City, said that since hosting the "Jiangxi Tourism Industry Development Conference" in 2022, the city has adhered to market-oriented operation, increased investment, improved infrastructure, and fully developed over ten key tourism projects. New tourism scenic spots, such as Houhe Dreaming Luling Scenic Area, Yangshimu Health Town, and Yuntian Lugu Scenic Area, have been completed. 

"Meanwhile, Chongqing, with its unique cityscape of "8D Magic City," has become one of the most popular cities on the internet, with immense potential for cooperation and development due to strong complementary tourism resources with Ji'an. In recent years, the two sides have continuously deepened cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation, providing unlimited possibilities in this regard," said Liang Pingfang.

Delegations from the county-level cities of Jinggangshan, Taihe, Suichuan, and Anfu showcased their excellent tourism resources through artistic performances and on-site introductions. The lively presentations led the audience to appreciate the beautiful scenery of Ji'an. 

Outside the venue, various districts and counties from Ji'an showcased their specialties, such as Taihe black-boned chicken, Anfu Ham, Yongxin Sanwan Honey, Xingan paper-cutting, and wooden leaf lamps.

Before the conference, a travel product resource docking meeting was held, attended by representatives of key tourism attractions, tourism associations, and travel agencies from Ji'an City, the Jiangbei District Tourism Association, and representatives of key travel agencies. Representatives from both sides had friendly exchanges on tourism resources and in-depth cooperation.
