Chongqing - June 10th witnessed the opening of the Wonderful Chongqing Photography and Video Exhibition in Nan'an District, downtown Chongqing.
The exhibition gathered over a hundred talented photographers from the city. During the event, the photographers displayed immense enthusiasm for an upcoming photographic event titled "I Love Chongqing·A Wonderful Day," which is set to launch on June 18th.

Wonderful Chongqing Photography and Video Exhibition is a series of photographic events called "Take a Photo for Chongqing." The exhibition presented a selection of photographs captured during the previous themed activities and work showcased in competitions and other exhibitions, such as the Chongqing Ecology Construction News Photograph Competition. These remarkable art pieces provided a multidimensional view of Chongqing's development, offering the audience a visual feast of the city view.
As Tan Gangqiang, a renowned social psychology expert, said, these photos vividly revealed the beauty of Chongqing, evoking a profound sense of happiness and contentment among its visitors.

Li Wenyong, Vice President of the Chongqing Photograph Association, said, "It is crucial not only to forge ahead but also reflect, review, and learn from the previous experience so that we can delve deeper into the realm of photography." This exhibition unveiled the growth of Chongqing and showcased a burgeoning sense of accomplishment and joy.
The photograph activity "Take a Photo for Chongqing" has garnered significant attention from numerous photographers and has evolved into a prominent festival within the photography community.
Liu Songyong, Chairman of the Photographic Association of Dadukou District, shared, "About 40 photographers from the Photographic Association of Dadukou District, organized into five groups, participated in the activity. We draw inspiration from the various practices undertaken to foster high-quality development and create a superior way of life. We aim to capture authentic moments that resonate with a wide audience, reflecting the realities of everyday life."

The activity attracted a diverse group of teenage photographers. Li Junhao, a Chongqing Youth Photography Community member, emphasized that the community brings young photographers together, like college students, to showcase Chongqing from their unique angle and express their love for Chongqing.
After six successful editions, "Take a Photo for Chongqing" has evolved into a prominent city cultural IP event centered on photography. This event also attracted experts from various fields, including Dai Ling, Vice President of the Chongqing History Research Association.
According to her, the number of photographers in Chongqing is steadily growing. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility, these photographers preserve the collective memory of Chongqing's progress and transformation through their photographs.
In her view, this activity combines various perspectives from urban planners, designers, constructors, and historians, thus transforming into a cultural phenomenon and recognizable brand of Chongqing. Throughout the event, citizens' photos from diverse backgrounds evoked collective memories of Chongqing, enhanced their recognition, and blurred the boundaries between different fields. The activity plays a vital role in showcasing and promoting the image of Chongqing while fostering cultural and artistic communication and exchange with foreign countries.
