Chongqing - The themed photography event "I Love Chongqing · A Wonderful Day" took place in downtown Chongqing, attracting the participation of famous photographers, enthusiasts, and citizens across the city.

Capturing the exciting moments of Chongqing over a period of 24 hours, outstanding photographers from Sichuan and Chongqing were also invited to participate. Some topics involve the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, digital Chongqing construction, urban changes and development, and showing great changes in Chongqing from different perspectives.

On the same day, Chongqing Youth Photography Theme Activity was also launched. A group of teenagers took pictures of landmark buildings such as the Yangtze River Cableway and Chongqing's Opening Port Heritage Park to showcase Chongqing's new development, changes, and achievements through their unique perspectives.

In addition, Chongqing Daily Vision Chongqing and Sichuan Daily Press Group "C.Vision" jointly released the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Image Co-construction Plan on the spot to display the construction process and extraordinary achievements of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

Both sides aim to build a big data center for images of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and set up a Sichuan-Chongqing image photography team. They will go deep into recording the construction achievements of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle through photography tours.

A series of image reports were launched to focus on the highlights of the co-construction of the economic circle between the two places.

After being launched for seven years, this 24-hour mass photography activity has developed into a citywide carnival of images lasting half a month. Since June 1, the organizer has organized a series of activities, such as the Xingfu Community Image Program and Nanbin Road City Photoshoot Location Recommendation, and organized a group of professional photographers to record Chongqing's cultural images jointly and spread the image of beautiful Chongqing. 

In the future, a theoretical seminar will be held to invite scholars in photography, urban cultural research, and news communication to have an in-depth academic discussion on "Urban Marketing in the New Image Era."

As a brand activity of Chongqing Daily, the 2023 "I Love Chongqing · A Wonderful Day" Chongqing-themed Photography Activity with One Million Resident Photographers has been held for six sessions. 

As the number of participants and works increased yearly, the activity has dramatically influenced the photography community at home and abroad. It has become a large-scale urban image communication event and public cultural IP. This year's event attracted 8,000 photographers, photo fans, and tens of thousands of residents throughout Chongqing.
