Chongqing - From June 22nd to 24th, the "2023 Overseas Influencers Capture New Chongqing" event arrived in Dazu, Chongqing. American food blogger Bert Diggs and Danish travel blogger Kaja Kubicka embarked on a two-day shooting journey, exploring the extraordinary beauty of the hometown of rock carvings.

During the event, the two influencers visited well-known scenic spots such as Shili Lotus Pond, Changzhou Ancient Town, Longshui Lake Scenic Area, and Baoding Mountain Rock Carving Scenic Area (an essential part of Dazu Rock Carvings) for shooting.

Kaja Kubicka expressed that the Shili Lotus Pond was a unique thing she had seen in Dazu. She had not expected that there would be so many lotus flowers there which are rare to see in her country, and she strongly recommended everyone visit.

Dazu Rock Carvings' long history and preservation of cultural relics left a profound impression on Bert Diggs. "The rock carvings have been an exceptional highlight to me, learning about Buddhism and more about the culture here in Dazu," he added. He believed these stone carvings effectively preserved historical details and exhibited excellent design and characteristics.

At the same time, they immersed themselves in the lives of Dazu residents, savoring local street snacks such as Dingjiapo Potatoes, Dazu Xiaomian (a type of noodle dish), and brown sugar water. "It's so funny because Chinese desserts are so different from our Western desserts. The taste is not extremely foreign to me. It's just the way it looks quite like unexpected." Sitting on a roadside stool like a local, Bert highly praised Dazu Xiaomian and considered it on par with Western restaurant food.

The shooting took place during the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Bert had the opportunity to witness the traditional customs of the festival, such as dragon boat racing and tasting zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) at Longshui Lake. He was deeply impressed by the prizes awarded to the winning teams, including ducks and zongzi.

In addition to enjoying the beautiful landscape on a boat at Longshui Lake, Bert also experienced the thrilling water sports activity of riding a high-speed jet ski at the Longshui Lake Tourist Resort. He was thrilled and reminisced about his time on the beaches of California, intensely appreciating the instructors' professionalism.
