Chongqing - On July 18, Chongqing-based enterprises secured orders from Malaysia exceeding 100 million yuan (about 14 million U.S. dollars). These orders spanned various sectors, including automotive vehicles and parts, clothing, food, and sporting goods.

Established in 1990, MCCC is a non-governmental, non-profit, multi-ethnic, independent business association that boasts over 1,800 corporate members. These members operate across a diverse range of sectors, including trade, manufacturing, finance, agriculture, real estate, tourism, education, consulting services, and more.

Chongqing Huidong Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., an enterprise that specializes in integrated logistics, capitalized on the opportunity provided by this visit. They collaborated with the director of the Malaysia Belt and Road Initiative Committee to promote the China-Malaysia logistics business. Regarding the challenges of customs clearance and certificates of origin in Malaysia under the framework of the RCEP agreement, a consensus was reached with the MCCC.

This visit marked the first overseas venture for Chongqing Fengjie Agricultural Products Development Co., Ltd. Based in Chongqing Fengdu County, the heart of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the company rears chickens in the mountains and feeds them Chinese herbal medicine. Identifying opportunities in Malaysia, the company is set to export its high-quality spicy chicken nuggets there.

Qiu Juan, the General Manager of Chongqing Xien Weike Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., has been operating in Yiwu for many years and has substantial export experience in Malaysia. Alongside signing clothing exports worth 1 million U.S. dollars, the company also acquired several new customers during this trip.

During the visit, Seres Group's overseas department confirmed orders worth 100 million U.S. dollars and expressed complete confidence in penetrating the Malaysian market. Seres, a Chongqing automaker, has already successfully expanded into South Korea, Japan, and Singapore markets with popular models such as the Seres 3, Seres 5, DFSK E5, and DFSK Glory 500.

Representatives from the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Bank) Malaysia Branch and various legal consultancy organizations offered financial and legal services to support Chongqing-based enterprises in their entrance into the Malaysian market.
