Chongqing - When you think of home projectors, names like LG, Sony, and Samsung probably come to mind. However, one name stands out amidst a sea of emerging competitors: Formovie. This Chongqing-based company is giving international customers a new range of indoor entertainment options.

Formovie, a home projection company, is a rising star in Chongqing's tech industry. The company's product line includes high-end laser TVs and mini-projectors for mid-range markets.

In 2020, Formovie debuted in North America, and it hasn't looked back. Thanks to a combination of technological superiority and competitive pricing, Formovie's products are quickly gaining popularity outside of China.

Fortunately, a savvy Thai businesswoman spotted the potential of Formovie's projectors. She reached out to the company via Alibaba and subsequently became the exclusive distributor of Formovie's products in Thailand.

"After COVID, people are spending more time at home and looking for entertainment. These projectors are ideal because they offer a big screen experience in a small space," said Arisa Rojnukarin, the Thai agent for Formovie.

Malaysia is another key market in Southeast Asia that Formovie is targeting for expansion.

Earlier this year, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce arranged for Chongqing enterprises to visit Malaysia and Thailand. Several meetings were held to rebuild ties between Chongqing businesses, and local clients lost due to the pandemic. Formovie was one of the companies that took part in this overseas event, and it was an excellent opportunity to meet new partners.

"In 2023, we plan to base our operations in Malaysia and Thailand to sell our products across Southeast Asia. At the same time, we're looking to broaden our horizons," said Shuai Ling, Formovie's public affairs manager. "With the help of the Belt and Road Initiative, we're eager to move into Europe and let European customers enjoy our products."
