Chongqing - Chongqing municipal government, and China Datang Corporation will carry out practical cooperation on natural gas power generation, multi-energy complementary integration projects, new energy storage development, and green resource trading, according to the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed between Chongqing Municipal People's Government and China Datang Corporation Ltd. on August 10.

At the agreement, Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, highlighted that Chongqing has outstanding geographical advantages, an important strategic position, and massive potential for future development. 

Currently, Chongqing is accelerating the construction of the "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system, driving population agglomeration and urban development with high-quality industrial development, and accelerating the construction of a modern new Chongqing in the new era.

The unique "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system of Chongqing is to form three dominant industrial clusters for electronic information manufacturing, intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, and advanced materials, while Chongqing is strengthening efforts to foster its six key industrial sectors.

Yuan stated that energy security is an important support for promoting high-quality development. The city focuses on building a new energy system, actively promoting cross-provincial energy cooperation, and continuously improving energy security capabilities.

Yuan added the cooperation between China Datang Corporation and Chongqing has a solid foundation and broad prospects. This should be done by leveraging enterprise advantages, accelerating the promotion of key cooperation projects, deepening all-around cooperation, and reaching win-win development. 

Zou Lei, Chairman, and Party Secretary of China Datang Corporation, underscored that Chongqing has a strong momentum of economic and social development, rich scenarios for the development and utilization of new energy, and huge potential, making it a key area for Datang's strategic layout.

Zou continued that China Datang Corporation will implement the agreed items, increase investment and layout in Chongqing, strengthen cooperation on energy supply, digital energy, green and low-carbon development, and provide strong energy security for the construction of the new Chongqing.
