They will spend four days in Chongqing engaging in various activities. Their itinerary involves visiting locations such as Shapingba District, Liangjiang New Area, and High-tech Zone. They have the opportunity to explore the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, Chongqing Pilot Free Trade Zone Exhibition Center, the Belt and Road Commodity Trading Center, and the Chongqing Historic Sites Museum of the War of Resistance against Japan.
The study tour focuses on topics like Chongqing's international openness initiatives, high-tech park development, and the construction of land-sea trade routes.
"As an electrical engineering student, technology and engineering have always been my main focus of study. Apart from its rich history and cultural heritage, Chongqing's vibrant technological development has caught my interest," said Li Yuxiang, a Taiwan's National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University freshman.
Li was eager to visit renowned high-tech enterprises and research institutions in Chongqing to understand their achievements in technical innovation and industrial applications.
Chen Wenzhen, a Taiwan University sophomore, also has high expectations for this activity. Although this is her first visit to Chongqing, she has often heard praise for Chongqing and Hunan from her elders and friends in Taiwan. She aims to capture the unique charm of both places through her camera lens and explore their rich historical and cultural backgrounds.
Fu Denghua, a National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University freshman, is also excited about this study tour.
Chongqing, renowned as an "8D Magical City," showcases a perfect fusion of historical architecture and modern skyscrapers, reflecting the city's remarkable inclusiveness in urban development. For a civil engineering student like Fu, this is an exceptional learning opportunity.
According to the Chongqing-Taiwan Exchange Service Center spokesperson, "The opening ceremony of this study tour will be held in Chongqing, and the closing ceremony will take place in Hunan's Changsha."
"Most Taiwan youngsters in this activity are visiting Chongqing for the first time. We hope this journey will enhance interaction and communication between young people from Chongqing and Taiwan, allowing Taiwan youths to deeply experience economic and social development achievements in Chongqing's reform and openness and actively promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations," he added.
