Chongqing - The 2023 Smart China Expo (SCE 2023) is being held at Chongqing International Expo Center from September 4 to 6. One of the key international participants is Austria. 

iChongqing interviewed Birgit Murr, Head of the Commercial Section of the Austrian Consulate General Chengdu. She said that Austria is very strong in the automotive industry and is well-known in the industry.

She said, however, Austrians are more conservative, so compared to the developments and the changes in the Chinese new energy vehicle industry, it is much behind. Thus, she thinks the industries between the two nations can cooperate very well.

The Austrian Pavilion showcases smart products from AVL List GmbH, world’s largest independent company for development, simulation, and testing in the automotive industry and other sectors.

Other exhibited companies involve Fronius, which develops and implements innovative methods to monitor and control energy for welding technology, photovoltaics, and battery charging; and Tyrolit, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of grinding and dressing tools as well as a system provider for the construction industry.
