Chongqing - The 2023 Smart China Expo (SCE 2023) running between September 4 and 6 at the Chongqing International Expo Center, has unveiled an array of groundbreaking achievements from leading universities. This year's event saw impressive contributions from universities, including Chongqing University and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, demonstrating the synergy between academia and industry in pursuing cutting-edge innovations.

Chongqing University shines with pioneering modernized cities

Chongqing University took center stage as the regional cooperation exhibition area's representative, showcasing 58 scientific and technological achievements across various domains. 

These achievements spanned intelligent vehicle networking, intelligent energy, intelligent construction, intelligent health, and more. Among the highlights was a universal intelligent computing platform poised to usher in a new era of universal intelligence. The "Pair of Structural Gear Drive" promised 24-hour solar orientation while the wind tower model generated green and clean power, promoting sustainable development. 

This impressive array of accomplishments underscored Chongqing University's commitment to research, innovation, and integration into industry and education.

Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications presents advancing intelligent networked vehicles

Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications presented 20 cutting-edge research results encompassing automatic driving, industrial Internet of Things (IoT) hardware and software systems, chips, prototypes, smart health, and new materials. Their work in automated driving and auxiliary warning systems includes real-time traffic scheduling, indoor positioning and navigation, intelligent parking based on vehicle-road coordination, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). 

The second-generation "Zhongli" Mars rover was a star attraction, equipped with advanced visual perception and cognition capabilities, potentially revolutionizing fields like Mars exploration, unmanned vehicles, and industrial robotics.

Empowering industrial development through talent

In addition to their groundbreaking exhibits, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications organized the Intelligent Industry Discipline Professional Service Local Industry Development Forum. The event reinforced their commitment to collaborating with city universities to drive innovation in intelligent connected new energy vehicles, theoretical advancements, key technological breakthroughs, and high-quality talent training. This collaborative effort aims to contribute to national and regional smart industries significantly.

Notably, Nan'an District has launched an initiative to support science and technology-based enterprises and high-tech startups, focusing on attracting top-tier talent and fostering innovation teams. 

This initiative will further accelerate the development of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications' Science and Technology Park, facilitating the creation of an innovative ecosystem.
