Chongqing - "Following the implementation of digitization and greenization, our product production cycle has been reduced by 35.5%," said Liu Li, Factory Manager, Branch Secretary, and Chairman of the Trade Union of Schneider Electric (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., during the 6th Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Internet Innovation Development Forum at the 2023 Smart China Expo (SCE 2023) on September 5th.

Schneider Electric (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested in and established by Fortune 500 Schneider Electric. It primarily manufactures intelligent living space products.

They have successfully established seven exemplary demonstration scenarios encompassing factory planning, research and development design, production operations, supply chain management, energy control, and carbon peak and neutrality practices. 

The company has leveraged the power of digital twinning and the EcoStruxure Internet of Things (IoT) platform, integrating intelligent sensors, artificial intelligence, and 5G technology to achieve a deep fusion of models and data. 

"This approach has enabled Schneider Electric to optimize its factory structure and layout, resulting in reduced energy consumption and emissions of pollutants," Liu added.

Further investment in green and intelligent manufacturing 

Additionally, the company has developed its proprietary Lean Digital System (LDS), which encompasses five modules and 12 processes, including order management, electronic operation manuals, material pull systems, production efficiency management, and issue escalation.

This system is integrated throughout production, facilitating highly efficient collaboration with other support departments. It also enables the company to respond more flexibly to market demands and meet personalized customization requirements.

Liu emphasized the company's commitment to further investment in green and intelligent manufacturing and to complete the goals of Schneider 2025 operational-level carbon neutrality, 2030 operational-level zero carbon, 2040 full-value chain end-to-end carbon neutrality, and 2050 full-value chain zero carbon.

Through its Green Intelligent Empowerment Center, the company intends to empower the Wanzhou District in Chongqing and businesses in Northeast Chongqing with advanced supply chain management technology and lean digital experience. This initiative aims to facilitate the transformation of traditional manufacturing industries toward green intelligence and contribute to the nation's dual-carbon goals.

The awarding ceremony of the 2023 Chongqing digitization and greenization collaborative demonstration factories was held at the forum, and ten enterprises, including Schneider Electric (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., were recognized in the ceremony.
