Chongqing - On September 11, the new Italy Visa Application Centre was inaugurated in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

Mr. Fabio Schina, Consul General of Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, Ms. Adriana Lori, Deputy Consul General of Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Merzi Screwvala, Deputy Regional Head of Southwest China at VFS Global, and other distinguished dignitaries attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the newly refurbished Italy Visa Application Centre in Chongqing.

The newly renovated and upgraded centre will offer applicants a more comfortable and relaxed visa application submission experience. This spacious facility, equipped with modern amenities and services, can process a higher volume of visa applicants daily.

Mr. Merzi Screwvala said, "With the gradual resumption of outbound travel and the enthusiasm of the people of Chongqing to go abroad, this newly launched center will play a crucial role in effectively catering to the growing demand for travel to this popular destination. We are confident that this newly revamped visa application center will enhance customer experience by making the visa application process even more smooth and seamless, helping us better serve travelers."

The discerning set of applicants can choose from a range of optional services such as Visa At Your Doorstep, which allows visa application submission from any preferred location, and Premium Lounge, which enables application submission in a personalized and comfortable environment without having to wait in a queue. Additional services include Form-filling Assistance, Courier Passback, Courier, and SMS Notification.
