Zhang Ping, Vice Chairman of the Cross-Strait CEO Summit Chinese Mainland; Li Yuefeng, Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League; Liu Lihua, Convener of the Cross-Strait CEO Summit Information Industry Cooperation Promotion Group Chinese Mainland, Zhang Weiguo, Convener of the SME Cooperation and Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Group Chinese Mainland, Wu Jianong, Deputy Convener of the Information Industry Cooperation Promotion Group, Li Zhengmao, Chairman of the First Board of Directors of the World Broadband Association, and Chongqing officials Chen Xinwu, Zhao Shiqing, Zhang Guozhi and Wang Yu attended the meeting.

Yuan Jiajun warmly welcomed all the guests coming to Chongqing to attend the Chongqing-Taiwan Week. He said that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait share a common bloodline and the same destiny. For a long time, political parties and organizations such as the Cross-Strait CEO Summit, the New Party, and the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland have combined their efforts to promote cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation and the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.

As the only municipality directly under the central government in central and western China, Chongqing enjoys broad space and great potential for development. It is thoroughly implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, developing the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system, and the Western Financial Center, and building a digital and modern Chongqing. Chongqing and Taiwan enjoy profound historical connections and a solid foundation for cooperation.

The Chongqing-Taiwan Week follows the trend of the cross-Strait economic and trade cooperation development. Chongqing will uphold the concept of "one family across the Taiwan Strait," deepen its industrial cooperation with Taiwan, implement favorable policies for Taiwan compatriots, and build a good development environment for Taiwan compatriots and enterprises, thus raising Chongqing-Taiwan cooperation to a new level, and contributing to the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.

Zhang Ping, Wu Chengdian, Chairman of the New Party, Chen Ruilong, Vice Chairman of the Cross-Strait CEO Summit Taiwan, Li Zhenghong, President of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland, and other guests thanked Chongqing for its meticulous preparations for the event. They said that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are one family that shares a common bloodline. Chongqing and Taiwan enjoy close relations and a solid foundation for cooperation. Because Chongqing boasts outstanding location advantages, an important strategic position, a good business environment, and a broad development space, they look forward to the accelerated development of a modern new Chongqing.

They hope that through the Chongqing-Taiwan Week platform, the two sides will deepen cross-Strait exchanges, enhance Chongqing-Taiwan economic and trade cooperation, lead more Taiwan entrepreneurs to invest and start businesses in Chongqing, share new opportunities for joint development, and make greater contributions to the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.

Heads of the Cross-Strait CEO Summit Taiwan, the Kuomintang of China, the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland, relevant associations, representatives of Taiwan's business and academic circles, and officials from relevant departments of Chongqing also attended the meeting.
