Hangzhou - China’s men’s national under-24 soccer team tied with Bangladesh 0-0 in the 19th Asian Games men’s football competition on September 24, which made the Chinese squad’s three consecutive victories fall through. In the former two matches of Group A, China’s men’s national soccer team beat Myanmar 4-0 and defeated India 5-1 in the opening match.

However, the result was very creditable for the Bangladesh football team. Before the match, many thought the Bangladesh team would lose to the Chinese team since China is far ahead of Bangladesh in the FIFA ranking. The surprising result also exhilarated Bangladeshi audiences. Rejwan Uz Zaman, a journalist from Bangladesh, said that he thought the match was fantastic and was proud of the Bangladesh football team. He wished that the Chinese team could make the final.

At the press conference, the coach of the Bangladesh football team said he felt positive about the result and proud of his team. He also added that the Bangladesh team could have defeated the Chinese team because his team created multiple chances to score in the match.

Meanwhile, the coach of China’s men’s national soccer team said that he was satisfied with the result, and his team was preparing for the next matches in the competition.
