Chongqing - On October 20, Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone partnered with Shenzhen Anxun Logistics Group to sign a strategic cooperation agreement to establish an import-export allocating center within the Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
Leveraging the advantages of the China-Europe Railway Express and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC), this move is expected to facilitate the transportation of approximately 6,000 High Cube Container annually, boosting foreign trade values to 10 billion yuan (about USD 1.366 billion).
The person in charge of the allocating center said its primary focus is distributing products, such as automotive components, primarily drive shafts manufactured by BMW and Volvo, and cosmetics produced by France's L'Oréal.
These goods will be transported via the China-Europe Railway Express to the Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone and distributed nationwide. Moreover, the center will distribute domestically produced automotive components, electronic products, and photovoltaic products, transported via the China-Europe Railway Express to destinations such as Germany and Poland.

Currently, the Western (Chongqing) Science City is advancing the development of logistics distribution centers, with five major distribution centers, including 17 logistics distribution projects.
Among them, the Electronics Components Distribution Center primarily aims to collect electronic components produced in Europe and Southeast Asia and deliver them to the Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone. These components are then supplied to companies in Quanta Computer Incorporated, Inventec, Foxconn Technology Group, and the Chengdu-Chongqing regions, among others.
The product range encompasses over a dozen categories of intelligent terminal products, such as laptops, monitors, and smart home devices. Finished products are also shipped to European regions.
From January to August this year, the Western (Chongqing) Science City achieved an impressive foreign trade volume of 193.945 billion yuan (about USD 26.5 billion), accounting for 40.59% of the entire municipality's trade.
This growth was reinforced by 5,066 imported complete vehicles stored in a bonded warehouse, with a total value of 3.14 billion yuan (about USD 429.12 million), marking a substantial growth of 179%.
The distribution of new energy vehicle components also accelerated, resulting in a foreign trade value of 7.606 billion yuan (about USD 1.039 billion), representing a growth of 26.2%. Cross-border e-commerce played a vital role in stabilizing foreign trade and supporting manufacturing, achieving a foreign trade value of 8.58 billion yuan (about USD 1.173 billion).
In the future, the Western (Chongqing) Science City will further enhance its openness and capabilities, optimizing the utilization of platforms like the Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Xiyong Sub-area). It aims to gather resources in logistics, commerce, information flow, and capital flow on a larger scale, contributing to Chongqing's endeavor to build an inland open highland.
