Chongqing - The 2023 Chongqing International Talent Exchange Conference (CQITEC) will kick off in Southwest China's Chongqing from December 16 to 17. The conference will feature offline and online events, including a series of forums, recruitment activities, and competitions, with international and domestic participation. 

The opening ceremony will be held on December 16 at Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center. Important guests, including well-known scientists, entrepreneurs, university presidents, and talent representatives, are invited to deliver speeches focusing on constructing the four major scientific and technological innovation highlands of "digital intelligence technology, life and health, new materials, and green and low carbon."

The conference will feature special talent attraction activities to attract more talent and facilitate talent-job matching. The Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project Fair will invite over 1,000 outstanding doctors and post-doctoral researchers to engage in project negotiations with investment institutions and demand units, promoting offshore development.

The highlight of the talent attraction activities is the Young Talents Visit Chongqing initiative, taking place from November to December. It will invite thousands of outstanding young talents from around the world to participate in recruitment activities, promoting visits to renowned enterprises, universities, research institutions, and industrial parks for inspections and collaborative discussions, encouraging more talents to stay and develop in Chongqing.

In addition to talent attraction activities, the conference will feature a series of competitions. The 2023 Global Outstanding Engineer Competition will focus on building a national advanced manufacturing center, inviting international experts to assess the competition and its outcomes. Through challenges and innovation contests, it aims to solve technical problems, discover excellent projects, facilitate outcome transformation, and attract outstanding talents.

Simultaneously, the final round of the "2023 Xingyu Cup" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project Competition is scheduled to take place at the Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center. Focused on the establishment of Chongqing's science and technology innovation highlands and modern manufacturing industry cluster system, the competition aims to orchestrate engagement from diverse regions, fostering collaboration, observation, and negotiation to propel the effective implementation of selected projects.

 "The 2023 CQITEC comprehensively promotes the implementation of the 'Science and Technology Innovation' and 'Talent-Driven City First' strategies, focusing on the '416' science and technology innovation strategic layout and the '33618' modern manufacturing cluster system, "Officials from the conference organizing committee stated, "The aim is to create a high-end, international, and professional platform for talent aggregation, intellectual collision, and project docking. This platform will facilitate the establishment of the Western Talent Center and innovation hub."
