Chongqing - On November 21, The 2023 Chongqing International Travel Agent Conference opened in Southwest China's Chongqing under the theme "Nihao(Hello), China! Nihao, Chongqing!".
The first batch of "Chongqing Tourism Promotion Ambassadors" was appointed during the event. The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development honored seven individuals from domestic and international backgrounds for their dedication to promoting Chongqing tourism.
The appointed ambassadors include Mr. Balint Czegel, Consul General of Hungary in Chongqing, Olga Zelkovsksya from Belarus, Amie Arnold from the United Kingdom, James Alexander, a journalist from the Chongqing International Communication Center, Martin Hinkens from Germany, Jiang Ao, CEO of Peak Group Global (UK), and Hu Yanmei, Assistant to General Manager of The Huapont Chongqing.
These individuals, united by their love for Chongqing and commitment to promoting tourism internationally, were awarded the title of "Chongqing Tourism Promotion Ambassadors for the 2023-2024 period."
Six ambassadors recorded videos recommending must-visit attractions in Chongqing to global tourists. Highlighted destinations include the renowned Dazu Rock Carvings, the iconic Liberation Monument, the Hongya Cave, Liziba Monorail Station, the Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges, and the Chongqing People's Auditorium.
