Chongqing - The International Development Alliance for New Land-Sea Corridor Skilled Professionals took root in Chongqing on November 22.
This alliance is poised to elevate vocational expertise in Chongqing and Belt and Road Initiative countries, fostering a vibrant hub for talent collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the deepening of vocational education partnerships.
The inauguration ceremony of the alliance, themed "Openness, Cooperation, and Mutual Benefit," was attended by representatives from 20 institutions across seven countries, including China, Russia, Japan, and Singapore, comprising technical schools, corporations, and human resource agencies.

At the event, six framework cooperation agreements were signed to support vocational schools in project collaboration, talent training, and skill development.
Specifically, in the realm of school-enterprise cooperation, there was a consensus reached on multiple fronts, including professional construction, employment internships, and the cultivation of skilled talent.
Regarding inter-school collaboration, agreements were made on aspects such as mutual school visits, student exchanges, further training for teachers and administrative staff, and the joint establishment of friendly schools.
Moreover, these initiatives are geared towards promoting the cultivation of international high-tech skilled talents, thereby providing robust support to Chongqing in its endeavor to rapidly develop as a central hub for talent in Western China and an innovation highland.
Marina Dobryakova, Dean of Radio Engineering College in Russia, emphasized the importance of cross-regional cooperation for exchanging experiences and exploring potential at the New Land-Sea Corridor Human Resources Exchange Seminar during the inauguration ceremony.
She noted that China and Russia have a strong foundation of collaboration in education, especially in vocational skills competitions.
By further integrating existing resources and sharing training practices, both countries can continuously enhance the international influence of their skilled talents and more effectively promote Chinese vocational education standards in international arenas.
Cai Jinfeng, Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department at Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., discussed the challenges Chinese automotive companies face in developing international talent, particularly in technical skills.
Cai emphasized that addressing these challenges is crucial not only for serving national strategies but also for advancing industrial upgrading in Chongqing. Strengthening exchange and cooperation through the New Land-Sea Corridor and fully leveraging the alliance's mutual benefits are key strategic directions.

In recent years, Chongqing has been deepening international exchanges and cooperation in the talent sector, focusing on fostering interconnectedness and mutual learning in technical skill development, contributing significantly to developing the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
Initiatives include implementing international cooperation pilot projects for the new model of corporate apprenticeships, leading the construction of a high-skill talent international cooperation pilot zone in China, hosting The Belt and Road International Skills Competition in Chongqing, and facilitating the exchange and cooperation of 30 vocational schools with over 60 countries and regions.
Currently, Chongqing has a total of 5.255 million skilled talents, with high-skilled talents accounting for 31.6%, ranking first in China's western region.
