Gaza - A truck loaded with humanitarian aid from China crossed into the Gaza Strip on Sunday via the Kerem Shalom border crossing.

It was among the first batches of aid going through this channel since the start of the conflict between Israel and Hamas on Oct. 7.

Kerem Shalom, located at the border of Egypt, Israel, and the Gaza Strip, serves as a key passage for the movement of goods in and out of Gaza. The crossing, which is a more efficient route than the Rafah crossing linking Egypt and Gaza, was closed by Israel soon after the start of the conflict.

Israel reopened the Kerem Shalom border crossing on Sunday.
