Chongqing - From December 11-13, the Chongqing Resources and Economic Sustainable Development Research Association held a training for 20 trainees from Macao's Transport Bureau and Public Security Police Force.

The training, focusing on transportation planning and public transit, culminated in a graduation ceremony on December 13th to celebrate the participants' program completion.

The training featured experts from several Chongqing departments as instructors, including those from the Transportation Department of the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources, the Chongqing Public Security Bureau's Traffic Management Bureau, and various other agencies.

The teaching approach included classroom sessions, field visits, and live demonstrations. Topics covered transportation planning and management, transportation big data, and transportation organization.

Activities also included exploring transportation big data platforms and experiencing Chongqing's unique alley bus system.

This training builds on the ongoing exchange and learning between the Chongqing Resources and Economic Sustainable Development Research Association and the Macao transportation system since 2020. 

In recent years, the two have collaborated on several significant initiatives, such as public transport training in July 2021 and online traffic modeling training in November 2022 and January 2023 at the University of Macao.

This training represents a substantial step towards deepening collaboration and exchange between Chongqing and Macao. It aims to enhance mutual trust, establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, and contribute to the ongoing partnership between the two regions.
