14th Fairy Mountain Ice, Snow Season Opens

On December 23rd, the 14th Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season for 2023 was officially inaugurated at the Fairy Mountain Outdoor Ski Resort in Wulong, Chongqing. 

Under the theme "Play in the Snow at Fairy Mountain," this season of frosty fun is set to run until the end of February 2024. Spanning two months, it promises to provide visitors with ample opportunities to immerse themselves in the enchanting winter allure of the southern region.

The event kicked off at 10:30 a.m. with a vibrant performance of the "Hotpot" segment from the Impression Wulong series. 

Zhang Debing, Chairman of Chongqing Wulong Tourism Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., spoke at the opening ceremony, highlighting Wulong's charm as a premier tourism destination. "Wulong, a jewel of Chongqing tourism, is a place to fall in love with in a minute, become captivated by in an hour, adore in a day, and consider revisiting countless times in a lifetime," he remarked. Zhang emphasized the significance of the Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season as a key winter tourism attraction in Wulong. 

Running successfully for 13 consecutive years since 2009, this event annually draws crowds eager to enjoy the snowy landscapes and winter activities. The thriving ice and snow tourism in Wulong is not only boosting the local economy but also elevating the region's profile on the international tourism stage.

Winter at Fairy Mountain captures the southern region's enduring fascination with snow, making the annual Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season a highly anticipated extravaganza. 

During the opening ceremony, Liu Bo, General Manager of Wulong Tourism Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., unveiled an array of preferential policies and activities planned for this season. This year, visitors can look forward to a diverse selection of events, including interactive ice and snow experiences, family-oriented activities, trendy experiential events, and the China Wulong Golden Tree International Documentary Week at Fairy Mountain.

Home to the largest high-altitude outdoor ski resort in the southwestern region, Fairy Mountain offers exhilarating skiing adventures. For the duration of the ice and snow season, the resort is providing discounted tickets at 198 yuan per person. This special offer includes unlimited skiing (excluding the Fairy Mountain scenic area admission fee) and is available on major e-commerce platforms.

Beyond traditional media, internet influencers are key to boosting Wulong's tourism profile. Recognizing their impact, the Wulong scenic areas awarded "Wulong Culture and Tourism Promotion Officer" certificates to influencers during the opening ceremony. This initiative aims to encourage the creation of more engaging content and further promote Wulong's tourist attractions.

With the event's launch, the Fairy Mountain Winter Tourism Carnival is now in full swing. An array of lively and interactive winter activities is drawing crowds to the Fairy Mountain Outdoor Ski Resort and the expansive grassy plains. Visitors are engaging in fun-filled events like snow singing, dancing in the snow, tug-of-war, snowman building contests, snow frisbee, snow gyroscopes, snowball fights, and cozy tea-making sessions around a stove. These activities offer a blend of excitement and entertainment, catering to a wide range of interests and ages.
