Chongqing - Chongqing's three major industrial sectors—intelligent manufacturing, food and agriculture processing, and software services—saw growths of 5.1%, 4.5%, and 7.0%, respectively, in 2023, as reported by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology recently

Chongqing is advancing its manufacturing sector's digital transformation by accrediting 17 intelligent factories and 224 digital workshops. The city has also established ten national demonstration factories for intelligent manufacturing, developed 35 typical scenarios, and created eight system solutions.

Furthermore, the western Chongqing region is positioning itself as a global hub for the intelligent, connected new energy auto parts industry. This ambitious project encompasses eight districts: Jiangjin, Hechuan, Yongchuan, Dazu, Bishan, Tongliang, Tongnan, and Rongchang.

From January to November 2023, significant industries' operating income and industrial investment in western Chongqing represented 25.8% and 35.5% of the city's total, respectively.
