Chongqing - On February 1, Hu Henghua, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chongqing Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government met with the ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to China, Chung Jae-ho, and his delegation.
On behalf of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and the municipal government, Mayor Hu warmly welcomed Ambassador Chung and his delegation for their visit to Chongqing. Ambassador Chung Jae-ho extended his gratitude to Chongqing for its preservation efforts concerning the former site of the provisional government of the Republic of Korea in Chongqing and the former headquarters of the Korean Liberation Army.
He acknowledged the deep historical ties between South Korea and Chongqing, noting the continuous warming of economic and trade cooperation in recent years.
