Chongqing - As the second Fengdu Blessing Cultural Festival in Chongqing approaches, excitement is growing for the diverse and rich cultural experience it promises. 

On the upcoming Lantern Festival, the highlight will be the debut of the first large-scale three-dimensional light and shadow show along the Yangtze River, illuminating the Long Street Port Building section and delivering an immersive audio-visual feast imbued with the blessing culture of Fengdu.

The inaugural festival in January 2023 was a grand success, featuring 23 activities, including cultural tourism and commerce, attracting 2.335 million visitors. It fueled a Spring Festival consumption boom and showcased Fengdu's global cultural brand, achieving both social and economic benefits.

The second edition of the Fengdu Blessing Cultural Festival, themed "Come to Fengdu to pray for blessings and safety," is set to surpass its predecessor. The event, to be held in Long Street, promises even more diverse activities, grander scenes, cooler creativity, and a more awe-inspiring experience.

The Lantern Festival will witness a mesmerizing real-life light and shadow show along the Long Street Port Building section, with the main attraction being the first large-scale three-dimensional display along the Yangtze River. Using 2024 drones, messages like "Come to Fengdu to pray for blessings and safety" and "Build Fengdu into what the people of Fengdu like" will adorn the night sky. The event will feature hundreds of prayer drums, thousands of blessing lanterns, and tens of thousands of blessing candles, creating a spectacular fireworks display.

Adding to the festivities, the Blessing Pavilion in Long Street will give away 50,000 2024-limited-edition blessing stickers and 20,000 blessing candles to citizens and tourists. The opening light and shadow show and blessing ceremony at the Long Street Port Building section aim to portray the new vitality of Fengdu through captivating visuals, bringing good luck and peace to the New Year. The citizens and tourists are eagerly invited to participate in this anticipated Fengdu event.
