Chongqing - From February 25 to March 1, Taiwan's inaugural travel business delegation for 2024 concluded its Chinese mainland inspection in Chongqing. Nearly 50 Taiwan travel agencies, with 66 representatives, explored key areas like Dazu, Wulong, Youyang, Nanchuan, and the central urban district. They engaged in discussions and coordination with around 60 Chongqing tourism enterprises.

Over 100 Chongqing and Taiwan tourism enterprises engage in talks

To facilitate communication and transactions in the inbound tourism market, the "Nihao, Chongqing!" Taiwan Travel Business Roadshow and Negotiation Meeting took place on March 1 at Chongqing Window of International Culture and Tourism Co., Ltd. Sixty-six representatives from Taiwan travel businesses and nearly 60 representatives from local Chongqing tourism enterprises gathered for one-on-one business negotiations.

The meeting covered presentations on Chongqing's cultural tourism resources, the release of marketing incentive policies for inbound tourism, explanations of relevant policies for Taiwan tourists entering Chongqing, and exchanges between tourism enterprises from both regions. This event further strengthened ties between Taiwanese travel professionals and Chongqing, fostering confidence in future tourism market cooperation.

New era for Chongqing's inbound tourism

Since the International Travel Business Conference in November last year, travel professionals from various countries and regions, including Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan, have successfully organized nine inspection trips with 300 participants to explore Chongqing. This has laid a solid foundation for the recovery and revitalization of inbound tourism in 2024.

Xiao Boren, the chairman of the Taiwan Travel Business Association, expressed excitement about Chongqing's rich cultural tourism resources. He sees this event as a bridge for tourism industry cooperation and development between Chongqing and Taiwan. The next steps involve promoting Chongqing's tourism products in Taiwan to attract more Taiwan residents to the city.

Wang Yi, a representative from Chongqing Yangtze River Golden Cruise Co., Ltd., praised the event's theme for providing an excellent platform for enterprises to expand into the inbound tourism market.
