Chongqing - This year, Zhou Li, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Deputy Director of the Jingju Theatre Company of Chongqing, suggests the inclusion of Chinese opera education majors in universities and Chinese opera courses in schools at all levels. She aims to inject renewed vitality and vigor into traditional art education.

Zhou's Peking Opera journey started in childhood, sparked by a Peking Opera performance attendance with her father. This passion guided her to the Chongqing School of Arts, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to performing and preserving Peking Opera. 

As a third-generation inheritor of the Shang style of Peking Opera, Zhou serves as a mentor and advocate, nurturing talents like young performer Zhang Naifang. Her efforts create new opportunities for these young artists to shine in traditional Chinese opera.
