Chongqing - Recently, Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chongqing Municipal Committee, together with Hu Henghua, Vice Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, engaged in a pivotal meeting with Alexander Sokolov, Rector of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, accompanied by his delegation. This significant assembly fostered the burgeoning friendship between the two entities and heralded a crucial advancement in educational and cultural exchanges between the respective regions.

During the meeting, Yuan Jiajun and Hu Henghua extended a warm reception to Rector Sokolov and his delegation, acknowledging the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory's concerted efforts to bolster cooperation. Yuan articulated Chongqing's role as a cultural and educational nexus in Western China, dedicated to forging mutually beneficial relationships with global cultural and academic institutions. He highlighted the current year as a milestone, marking the 75th anniversary of Chinese-Russian diplomatic relations, underscoring it as a year replete with cultural exchanges between the two nations. He advocated for intensifying collaborative endeavors in culture and education to cultivate mutual understanding and friendship amongst the people of both countries.
Chongqing Normal University and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory established a landmark educational cooperation agreement. This accord is set to catalyze the nurturing of musical and artistic expertise alongside fostering cultural dialogues. Both sides are committed to constructing a stratified educational cooperation framework, cementing enduring affiliations, and propelling the collective progression in music education and talent development through reciprocal visits, scholarly dialogues, and student exchanges.

Rector Sokolov expressed profound appreciation for the Chongqing Municipal Government's unwavering support for this bilateral cooperation. Additionally, officials from pertinent departments of Chongqing and Chongqing Normal University were in attendance, marking the occasion as a testament to the shared commitment to fostering educational and cultural synergy.
