Chongqing - As spring comes, the peonies of Dianjiang County, Chongqing, unfurl their petals in a splendid display. The 2024 Dianjiang Peony Cultural Festival is ushered in with a press conference, heralding the start of the festival themed "Blossoming Elegance: A Fragrant Invitation to Dianjiang's Peony Splendor" on March 21. Boasting over 200 varieties, the festival showcases a kaleidoscope of hues and the mesmerizing allure of the peonies.

Returning as an annual highlight, the Dianjiang Peony Cultural Festival infuses the air with the scent and vigor of spring anew. More than a feast for the eyes, this year's festival integrates culture and tourism in a celebration highlighting Dianjiang's rich cultural legacy and the pristine beauty of its natural landscapes.

The festival's curtain will rise on the evening of March 21 at the Sanhe Lake Wetland Park in Dianjiang County, with a grand cultural performance themed "Blooming Prosperity," spotlighting the distinctive charm of Dianjiang's peony culture. Furthermore, the Chinese Plum Flower Garden, Rapeseed Flower Garden, and Peach Blossom Garden will sequentially welcome visitors, offering two meticulously curated floral routes.

This year's festival also introduces an athletic dimension, including the Peony Marathon and Triathlon, drawing a bevy of athletes from home and abroad.
