Chongqing - On March 19, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and China Logistics Group Co., Ltd. agreed to collaborate on port and channel logistics development and operations. They aim to enhance manufacturing logistics, specialized logistics, bulk commodity supply chain integration, and develop multimodal transport.

This collaboration seeks to enhance the comprehensive effects of "logistics + trade + industry," fully supporting the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC).

Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, said that Chongqing is a megacity located at the intersection of several national strategies, including the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the ILSTC, the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the construction of the national strategic hinterland. These overlapping strategies present unprecedented opportunities for Chongqing's development.

Yuan emphasized that the logistics sector is vital to the modern industrial system. Leveraging Chongqing's status as an international transport hub, the city is dedicated to lowering overall logistics costs, accelerating modern logistics system development, and integrating into the new development pattern.

So far, the partnership between China Logistics Group and Chongqing, already yielding substantial results, is founded on a solid base. Both parties view this agreement as a new beginning to further integrate resources, deepen practical cooperation in channel infrastructure, and merge modern logistics with the industry.

Yuan said that by innovating comprehensive service models for channels and enriching service scenarios, they aim to create iconic cooperative achievements and mutually beneficial development.

The company regards Chongqing as the main battleground and innovation field for building a modern logistics system. By establishing a comprehensive logistics enterprise in Chongqing that stimulates the West, radiates across the country, and connects globally, the cooperation between the two sides is expected to deepen and become more concrete, said Li.
