Chongqing - Recently, a series of industry standards in the Laoying Tea industry were officially released in Wuxi County, northeastern Chongqing. Laoying Tea in Wuxi County has garnered organic certifications from China, the European Union, and Japan, further enhancing its reputation on the global stage.

The newly introduced group standards for seedling cultivation of Laoying Tea in Wuxi County specifically designate litsea coreana as Laoying Tea. Various parameters, including the content of soluble substances, tea polyphenols, total flavonoids, free amino acids, and soluble sugars, exceed Chongqing's average by more than 1.5 times.

The local food safety standards for Laoying Tea in Wuxi County took nearly six years to formulate, from project initiation to official release. These standards provide clear specifications for the definition and basic requirements of Laoying Tea, encompassing raw materials, sensory requirements such as appearance and internal quality, component requirements such as moisture content, and limits for pollutants and pesticide residues.

The formulation of these standards not only guarantees the quality and standardized production of Laoying Tea seedlings in Wuxi County but also reduces costs, increases efficiency, and promotes collaborative development among enterprises. Currently, construction of Laoying Tea bases in Wuxi County has begun to yield results, with seven seedling enterprises already established.

Regarding product diversification, Wuxi County has developed over fifty series of Laoying Tea products, focusing on synergistic development with cultural and tourism products. These products are available for purchase through various online and offline platforms, showcasing the county's commitment to expanding its tea industry while integrating it with cultural tourism.
