Chongqing to Host Pioneering Auto Software-Hardware Integration Conference

Chongqing - On June 17-18, Chongqing will host the inaugural China (Chongqing) Intelligent Vehicle Basic Software Ecosystem Conference and the 3rd China Automotive Chip Summit Forum.

The "Building the Foundation Together, Embarking on Open Source" conference will include a closed-door summit, a high-level forum, and two thematic forums. 

The conference aims to build an open ecosystem for China's intelligent vehicle software through open-source collaboration, creating a secure digital foundation for automobiles and supporting the high-quality development of China's intelligent connected vehicle industry.

The forum, themed "Software and Hardware Integration for a 'New' Ecosystem," will focus on integrating software and hardware, reducing costs, improving efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness in the automotive industry.

The forum explores ways to integrate automotive software and chips better, help car manufacturers reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance competitiveness through integrated solutions. It will also address the opportunities and challenges presented by the evolution of electronic and electrical architectures for domestic solutions.

Intelligent vehicles have emerged as a strategic direction for the global automotive industry, crucial in advancing national technological innovation and industrial transformation. 

Basic software is the core of intelligent vehicles, and it is crucial for both application and industrial ecosystems. Building an open, innovative ecosystem around automotive basic software is essential for advancing the intelligent vehicle industry.

As a key automotive production base in China, Chongqing is enhancing its efforts in areas such as smart cockpits, intelligent driving, chips, and software. The city aims to create a world-class, intelligent, connected new energy vehicle industrial cluster with an industrial scale expected to exceed one trillion yuan by 2027.

The event is co-hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, among others. It is co-organized by Phytium Technology Co., Ltd., China Electronics Technology Research Institute of Chip Technology, and the Western China Science City Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles.
