Chongqing - From July 9 to 12, continuous heavy rains caused the largest flood of the season in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River basin. Relevant departments in Chongqing took swift action to combat rain and flooding.

Chongqing authorities have pre-positioned emergency forces and supplies in various districts and counties, preparing for rescue operations under conditions of road, network, and power outages. Their goal is to ensure the safety of residents during the flood season.

In the early hours of July 11, heavy rains led to waterlogging and flooding of roads, bridges, and houses in Dianjiang County. The county immediately dispatched teams to the front lines for rescue operations, evacuations, and disaster relief efforts, striving to protect the people's lives and property.

Starting from the night of July 10, thunderstorms hit Zhongxian County, causing landslides, house flooding, road blockages, and crop damage. In response, local authorities promptly organized risk mitigation and evacuation efforts to safeguard lives and minimize property damage.
