Chongqing - At the recent Chongqing Automobile Business Association meeting, Wang Cihang, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Pan-European Railway Port Management Co., Ltd. (Pan-European), unveiled a platform to boost the large-scale export of domestic used cars through Chongqing.

Pan-European is developing six mechanisms for sustainable used car export growth: business cooperation, comprehensive assessment, agreed returns, early warning systems, capital protection, and integrity management.

"This strategic initiative is poised to not only boost Chongqing's role in the global automotive industry but also enhance the city's influence in the international trade and logistics sector," said Wang.

The railway port, Chongqing's sole pilot platform for parallel automobile imports, covers 280,000 square meters and has ample storage facilities. It supports China-Europe freight trains and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) and offers integrated "warehouse to warehouse" logistics services.

Pan-European is leveraging its global hub at Chongqing Railway Port to create overseas warehouses, exhibition halls, and online sales platforms, linking domestic and international warehouses. This expansion integrates after-sales, customs clearance, display, and sales functions.

The company has innovated in logistics, completing China's first rail bill of lading pledge financing and securing the first digital bill of lading chattel pledge financing for the ILSTC. These instruments support the automotive logistics chain with guarantees, factoring, and other financial services.

According to Wang, Pan-European collaborates with 650 enterprises, including brands like Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Changan, BYD, and Geely. It has facilitated the import and export of over 160,000 vehicles, ranking first among national inland ports.

The company's future strategy includes partnering with overseas dealers, expanding international sales networks, and establishing a VIP service system to streamline used car exports. This system will cover transfer registration, vehicle testing, customs clearance, tax rebates, and deregistration, ensuring a seamless process for all clients.

Founded in 2016, Pan-European, a subsidiary of Chongqing Railway Port Logistics Development Co., Ltd., manages operations at Chongqing Railway Port and the Chongqing Railway Bonded Logistics Center (Type B). As the sole operator for whole-vehicle and meat supervision at the city's railway import port, Pan-European continues to play a pivotal role in advancing Chongqing's logistics capabilities and international trade influence.
