Chongqing - Chongqing's Yongchuan District and Siemens Ltd., China, recently held a signing ceremony to collaborate in industrial digitalization, green and low-carbon technologies, and vocational education.
Siemens' digital and low-carbon technologies will support the Chongqing Yongchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, where Siemens operates, in becoming a model for smart and zero-carbon parks.
The agreement will facilitate the establishment of Siemens Digital Industries Western Chongqing Office, Digital Empowerment Demonstration Center, Western Industrial Digitalization Training Center, and Dual-system Teaching and Training Center in Yongchuan.
Siemens Digital Industries Western Chongqing Office is responsible for providing business support and services in industrial automation, drive technology, and green low-carbon solutions for the Western Chongqing region, including Yongchuan.
Digital Empowerment Demonstration Center will focus on utilizing the latest technologies and products from Siemens Digital Industries to create a digital model factory in Chongqing Yongchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
Additionally, an external concentrated display area will be set up to provide industrial digitalization design consulting services to customers in Western Chongqing.
Western Industrial Digitalization Training Center will serve CNC industry enterprises, providing regular training on fundamental knowledge, the latest advancements, and research directions.
The dual-system Teaching and Training Center will utilize Yongchuan’s vocational education resources and the increasing need for practical training across industries. It will emphasize Siemens' latest CNC machine hardware and software and the principles of dual-system education.
Yao Jun, Senior Vice President of Siemens Ltd., China Digital Industries, and General Manager of the Western Region, said that Yongchuan's industrial structure is highly aligned with Siemens' technological direction, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their cooperation.
Chang Xiaoyong, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China Chongqing Yongchuan District Committee and District Mayor, expressed Yongchuan's support for Siemens' development in the region.
