One notable example is the semiconductor joint venture between China’s Sanan Optoelectronics and Europe’s STMicroelectronics, which was established to meet the rising demand for silicon carbide devices in the electric vehicle industry. The venture, signed in 2023, spans approximately 307,900 square meters and is expected to produce up to 520,000 automotive-grade MOSFET chips annually, with a total investment of 23 billion yuan.

Chongqing has also made strides with its certified voluntary emission reduction mechanism, leveraging "Tanhuitong," China’s first platform for realizing the value of ecological products. To date, the platform has issued around 841,000 tons of certified reductions, with a total trading volume reaching 4.82 million tons and a transaction value of 131 million yuan.
