Chongqing - The Briefing on the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Chongqing on August 27, during which foreign guests shared their perspectives on China's development.
Over 80 individuals attended the meeting, including foreign consular officials, overseas journalists, representatives from foreign enterprises and business associations, international sister city delegates, foreign scholars and experts, international students, and people from Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.
To present the plenary session's spirit to the international audience, Wang Zhijie, Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and Liu Sifang, President of Chongqing Academy of Social Sciences, provided detailed interpretations from various viewpoints such as global economy and technological innovation.
Attendees praised the plenary session's historical and practical significance, noting that it will not only boost China's progress on its new journey but also create new opportunities for global development.
Kyaw Zay Yar Lin, Myanmar Consul-General in Chongqing, emphasized Chongqing's significant role in the trade economy and hoped for a stronger partnership in business and tourism.
Christina Huang Ying, General Manager of UOB (China) Chongqing Branch, said that several key aspects of the resolution closely align with their business interests, such as developing new quality productive forces and creating advanced manufacturing clusters.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of UOB's investment in China and the 10th anniversary of its Chongqing branch. The bank aims to establish a cross-border supply chain platform, enhance product innovation, and drive green upgrades and circular economy initiatives.
