Chongqing- On September 1st, China: An Opportunity · Chongqing Brands Global Promotion event will be hosted at Rome, the capital of Italy, as the first stop for its overseas promotion. Under the guidance of the Information Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the Western China International Communication Organization will showcase its first batch of key promotion brands, including “Invest in Chongqing,” “Made in Chongqing,” “Scenic Chongqing,” and “Delicious Chongqing,” at the Rome 9 Sino-Italian Economic and Cultural Exchange Center, helping Chongqing brands enter Europe from Rome.
From Chongqing to Italy
Chongqing and Italy have a solid foundation of cooperation in the cultural and economic fields. the China-Italy Investment Promotion Center attracted Italian enterprises to settle in Chongqing and assisted Chinese enterprises in investing in Italy. Sino-Italian Cultural Innovation Industrial Park has further promoted deep cooperation between the two places in high-tech and manufacturing fields. In 2022, Italy and Chongqing's total import and export volume ranked sixth among the 27 EU countries, with increasingly close trade relations.
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy. The first stop of China: An Opportunity · Chongqing Brands Global Promotion event in Rome, Italy, will feature a series of activities such as brand promotion, cooperation signing, and Chongqing Urban Culture exhibitions. Guests like leaders of Chinese diplomatic missions in Rome, representatives from local chambers of commerce and enterprises, and media journalists will be invited to the event, promoting Chongqing brands to the European market from Rome, the European cultural center city. This will help more industries, enterprises, products, and brands from western China, and Chongqing enter the European market, opening a new chapter in Chongqing-Italy economic and cultural exchanges.
Brand Chongqing Goes to Europe
This event is the first overseas landing activity of the Ten Services launched by the Western China International Communication Organization for Chongqing industries and enterprises. The leaders of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, Yongchuan District, the European Design Center of Changan Automobile Group, and Dezhuang (Rome) will serve as recommenders, introducing to the attending guests their personal experiences with “Invest in Chongqing,” “Made in Chongqing,” “Chongqing Design,” and “Delicious Chongqing,” highlighting their development and future cooperation opportunities.
It is reported that China: An Opportunity · Chongqing Brands Global Promotion will also land in California Bay Area in the United States, Peru in South America, Kenya in East Africa, and Malaysia in Southeast Asia later, further expanding the overseas awareness of Chongqing Brands and showcasing the opportunities and charm of Chongqing as an inland open hub and a strategic pivot for the new era of Western China development.
