Chongqing - Leaders from journalists' organizations and media outlets around the world on Wednesday visited the breathtaking Three Natural Bridges, a UNESCO site so captivating that it was featured in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
"It's fantastic. I have been in many countries across the world, but this one is completely different," said Mustafa Kuleli, General Secretary of the Press Council of Turkey. "I feel alive here, and it impressed me."
The massive arches, some of the largest in the world, seem to reach the sky, surrounded by beautiful forests and dramatic cliffs. The deep gorges between the bridges create a unique microclimate with cooler temperatures and higher humidity, supporting diverse flora like rare ferns and mosses that thrive in damp conditions.
"I'm going to write about this place because it's one of the most stunning and amazing I've ever been so far," said Alexia Kosina, a Greek journalist for bankingnew.gr (webpage) and ONTime (newspaper).
Kosina added that there are many topics to explore in writing about China-Greece cultural exchanges. As two of the world’s oldest civilizations, they offer a strong foundation for deepening ties beyond commercial and diplomatic relations, allowing for positive cooperation.
The Three Natural Bridges in Wulong, Chongqing, is a natural wonder in the Wulong Karst National Geology Park. Over centuries, various ethnic groups have lived in the area, and local legends and folklore highlight the mystical qualities of these formations.
