Chongqing - On September 3rd, the SME Digital Transformation Promotion Conference took place in Yubei District, Chongqing. It was organized by the Yubei Economic and Information Technology Committee and the Chongqing Industrial Internet Development Research Center (part of the China Industrial Internet Research Institute)

The “Digital Intelligence Drives Transformation, Winning the Future through Change” conference drew over 100 guests from the government, high-quality SMEs, and digital transformation service providers, marking a key milestone in Yubei District's SME digital transformation pilot program.

The event outlined the latest policies on SME digital transformation and the application process for the second batch of pilot enterprises in the Yubei District, specifically targeting top SMEs in intelligent equipment, clothing, auto parts, and consumer electronics industries.

The Secretary-General of the Chongqing SME Digital Transformation Service Alliance discussed how digital transformation aids high-quality SME development, while representatives from the first batch of transformed enterprises shared their successes and offered useful insights for others.

After the conference, industry software product and service providers engaged in on-site exchanges with enterprises. Through a series of interactions, many enterprises with digital transformation needs reached preliminary cooperation intentions with software service providers.

Yubei District is Chongqing's sole area chosen as a national pilot region for SME digital transformation. Over the next two years, the district will implement a phased approach to digital transformation for key SMEs, utilizing a subsidy model where contributions come from enterprises, service providers, and the government to significantly boost the digital capabilities of Yubei SMEs.
