Chongqing Cultural Expo Forges Global Links, Showcasing Innovation and Heritage

Chongqing - On September 20, the 13th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo kicked off at the N1 and N2 Halls of the Chongqing International Expo Center in Southwest China's Chongqing. The event showcases both domestic and international innovations, providing a platform for cultural exchange, trade, and collaboration.

A key highlight of the expo is the International Cultural Zone, featuring vibrant displays from exhibitors worldwide. Participants include Afghanistan, Belarus, Japan, the Philippines, Pakistan, Australia, Germany, Myanmar, Malaysia, Uruguay, and more, offering a wide range of cultural exhibits and products unique to each nation.

Ivan Frank Olea, Consul General of the Philippines in Chongqing, noted, "The Philippines has participated in several past events, as this event helps strengthen bonds of friendship. We are showcasing indigenous crafts, handwoven pieces, and cultural artifacts that reflect our people's heritage. This is a great opportunity for cultural exchange, and we hope to encourage visitors from Chongqing and Southwest China to explore the Philippines, especially our beautiful beaches and coastlines."

Kyaw Zay Yar Lin, Consul General of Myanmar in Chongqing, added, "We are presenting Myanmar's famous gemstones, jade bracelets, handcrafted bags, and traditional attire. This expo offers a fantastic opportunity for Myanmar to share its traditional crafts and culture, allowing the people of Chongqing to gain a deeper understanding of our country."

During the expo, the Western International Communication Center signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce for International Cooperation of Private Economy and the Chongqing Guoshang Economic and Trade Investment Promotion Center. These agreements aim to foster international collaboration and enhance Chongqing's global business connections.

Ou Shunfei, Deputy Director of the International Communication Center at the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce for International Cooperation of Private Economy, emphasized the government's support. "We actively assist Chongqing companies in expanding overseas, particularly in manufacturing. Our chamber regularly hosts business salons where successful entrepreneurs share their experiences of entering global markets. Embassy staff also provide valuable information on policies and opportunities."

Wang Zijun, General Manager of China-Africa Yujia International Trade (Chongqing) Co. Ltd, spoke about future cooperation with Morocco. "Morocco is known for its tourism and agriculture, while Chongqing leads in intelligent manufacturing and industrial innovation. Our focus is on bringing Chongqing's advanced manufacturing technologies and smart products to Morocco. Additionally, we aim to boost cultural exchange and tourism between the two regions, exploring opportunities for direct flights and deeper collaboration.

The 13th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo successfully bridged diverse cultures and promoted global cooperation. By fostering meaningful exchanges and securing strategic partnerships, the expo solidified Chongqing's position as a key player in cultural innovation and international trade, paving the way for lasting connections and future opportunities.
