Chongqing - Chongqing organized more than 100 buyers and professional attendees to participate in the third Global Digital Trade Expo, which is taking place from September 25 to 29 in Hangzhou.
The expo enhances Chongqing's global digital trade engagement and collaborative network through hosting, promotion, and participating in matching and communication activities.

On September 25, during the expo, the Chongqing Investment and Trade Cooperation Promotion attracted over 100 guests from more than 70 companies, including Maersk, Ant Group, and OSELL, along with key exhibition organizations and business associations.
Officials from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce presented Chongqing's industrial strengths, while representatives from enterprises shared experiences and discussed collaboration opportunities.
An official with the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce said that Chongqing's digital trade is in its early stages but quickly proliferating, with imports and exports reaching 39.12 billion yuan (USD 5.58 billion) in 2023. "We invite more Zhejiang enterprises to seize the opportunity to develop digital services and cross-border e-commerce in Chongqing," said the official.
Zeng Jianwen, vice chairman of OSELL, during his speech also shared insights on exploring services in the digital trade industry with the guests.
In addition to the promotion, Chongqing's districts participated in the "Silk Road E-commerce" resource matching event to expand investment. During the event, the Chongqing Jiangbei District Commission of Commerce engaged with various enterprises, including Haizol, China's online sourcing platform for OEM manufacturing.
A representative announced that Jiangbei will boost cross-border e-commerce by enhancing the "Cross-Border E-commerce + Industrial Belt" model, strengthening leading enterprises, and developing platforms for bulk and industrial commodities.
On September 24, officials from Chongqing's Economic and Technological Development Zone and the districts of Wanzhou and Changshou participated in a communication event, discussing investments, equipment upgrades, consumer goods, and business environment improvements with renowned global enterprises.
Apart from expanding collaboration in various ways, Chongqing enterprises excelled at the expo, achieving significant success while broadening collaboration. The city's digital trade companies actively competed on the Expo platform. Chongqing Yungu · Yongchuan Big Data Industrial Park won the Digital Trade Award (DT Award) for promoting innovation in the digital trade sector.
Several Chongqing entertainment companies, including Chongqing Lingxige Cultural Technology Co., Ltd., showcased their IP brands and related products in a digital entertainment exhibition area. The expo initially introduced the area, focusing on how digital technology enhances content trade and drives innovation in cultural exchange.
Themed "Digital Trade, Global Access," the expo features over 1,500 enterprises from 62 countries and regions. Businesses from different countries gathered to exchange ideas and collaborate, which is particularly beneficial for SMEs and developing countries.
